Do you know if Quibids is a scam or the real deal? I saw a blog post about quibids and how you can get electronic items such as iPhones, iMacs, TVs, xBoxes etc for as low as 95% of the retail price. Please answer me only if you are using Quibids.

Quibids is not a scam but what do you expect to win there? 20 bucks Walmart cards? lol. I am bidding on penny auction sites since they first came out and I won a lot of items for pennies. Most of the people never win or they win on very rare occasions because they don’t know how to place their bids. There are a few tricks and tips you need to know if you want to win something.
DON’T JOIN quibids because they have a lot of users making it very hard to win. Check this site before: ipennyauctions.com. IT’S A MUST READ if you want to join a penny auction site. You will find all the tricks you need to know to win there.
JoeB I don’t know how to thank you! awesome tips on that site! I followed the tricks there and won a laptop with $12 lol. I still can’t believe it. Do you know how much time does the delivery take?
Paul, quibids is not a scam. If you want to check them you will see they are accredited with BBB. It’s very hard to win something there tho since the site got so popular. It used to be super fun and you could easily get really cheap stuff from quibids but these days you will end up paying more on bids than the actual price of the item.
I won a $25 Amazon card on Quibids so I guess it’s not a scam since they gave it to me but I ended up paying a lot more in bids so it wasn’t a real deal for me. …well at least I won something.
quibids.com is not a scam but unlike what they say their business model is not made for the average person to win stuff 95% more cheaper. It’s made for Quibids to make money off you. If you are smart enough and you have some experience with penny auctions you can make money off them. Here is why people think quibids scams:
The prices are misleading! Let’s say a Nikon camera is up for sale on quibids and it has reached $58.00. The auction started at $0.00 and every time a bid was placed by one of the participants the price increased by one cent. So that makes $58.00 into 5800 bids. Qubids sells one bid for $0.60 so 5800 bids x 60 cents makes the real price of the item, $3480.00. They use 5th grade psychology and it works great, if they list the real price people will run away, but when they see a small price they think it’s a bargain. If the retail price of that Nikon is $1200.00 they make $2280.00 in profits. This is not always the case, house can lose sometimes. I saw a scooter go for $3.20, $190 in real price talk.
Question is: Can we “scam Quibids”? I am talking about the participants in auctions not the house, you can’t win Quibids, you need to put a fight with the bidders, people like you. You can BUT IS HARD. If you use psychology you can manipulate the users behavior and win. There are a lot of strategies you can apply to win. JoeB pretty much answered you question. I just wanted to tell you how penny auctions work. I also don’t recommend quibids.com because of the same reason…to many people…way to many.
Who actually cares what Quibids makes in profit…more power to them. You just have to go into an auction thinking you are going to pay full price, when you add up your bids and figure out what you top end is great, stick to your guns…if ya don’t win it, “Buy It Now” and you still got a deal, as most of their prices are at or below regular retail…if ya think you are going to get everything at %95 off, your an idiot…just be smart and everyone wins
He He! Good thing I found this because I was about to register on QuiBids. This is the only real page about this topic, the others seem like they are promoting Quibids.com. Thanks!
Maybe I’m being suckered as some have said here, but I’ve won 2 items worth a total of $85 for about $15. So for me it’s worth it… so far. Even if I don’t win another thing, I’ve already made back my $60. (And yes, you do have to use certain strategies to win).
The thing that I like about a reputable penny auction site is even if you lose the actual auction your bids count toward the final price of the item. You can still buy the item full price. I know that’s not really the option people want but hey at least it’s something. If I figure I want to buy the item ANYWAY I may as well try my luck, see if people will fall off and decide at anytime I want to use my bids as a credit toward the item. What a lot of people do not do is their homework.
One thing I do not understand yet is the timer are reset to 15sec everything someone make a bid, I see bids can go on forever…??? the timer only stops if no one submits a bid. If the cost of the item reaches some dollar value you stop the bidding?
I was just about to register on Quibids.com but decided to do a quick research first and thanks God I found this page. I will go check out that ipennyauctions.com site.
Does itReally Workor Scam is tired of all those fake reviews on the web. You see, marketers know you are searching the web for opinions on their products or services, so they make up fake reviews. We don't like that!
